Local Restaurants (Madeline's,Petit Chat)
We had a brunch at Madeline's. The dish on the left is French Toast with berries and the one on the right is Croque Madame with potatoes. The food was really delicious and we would recommend here if you want to taste authentic European dish.
Petit Chat is also a local cafe in Spokane. It has various kinds of pastries and desserts. If you like chocolate, you should definitely try the chocolate croissant. The place is so popular that the pastries get sold out everyday. So don't forget to visit here when you come to Spokane!
Davenport Hotel & The Catholic Cathedral "Out Lady of Lordes" & Public Library
On the third day of May term, we met at the Davenport Hotel. The Davenport Hotel is historic and
luxurious. As you see in the pictures, the lobby reminds of European palace. There were lots of huge ballrooms and pictures of historical figures. On the second floor, we also found the picture of Marie who was the queen of Romania.
You can see fish swimming in the fountain.
We went to the cathedral after we went to Spokane Public library. But unfortunately, it was closed so we couldn't go in. The cathedral was originally a carpenter's shop but Joseph Cataldo converted it into the church. This was the first Catholic church in the Spokane Township.

Mobius Science Center
On the second day of May Term, we went to Mobius Science Center. The ticket is $7.00 and once you buy the ticket, it is available for the whole day - you can go out and come back. A guide gave us a tour of the center and explained us how each section worked.
This section is about making your own "cone" plane by cutting and reassembling. There were paper cones that you could use. If you press the button on the side, the fan starts and blows your plane up in the air. Each steel ring(?) shows different stratosphere.
This machine is probably the coolest thing there. You need two people to play this game and you have to put on the headband before you start. You can move the ball with your brain power.
This machine is supposed to resemble a hydroelectric power plant. As you pump the water, the pressure goes up on the squirting gun. And water that comes out is moving the turbine.
