Riverfront Park

Riverfront Park Fountain

On our first day of May Term, we decided to explore Riverfront Park. We met at River Park Square and left from there. The first thing that drew our attention was the fountain. Little kids were running around the fountain while other people were enjoying the view and nice weather on the bench.
Looff Carrousel

Next to the fountain was the Looff Carrousel, which is a historical carrousel. We bought a token for a ride - it is $2.00 per token. There is a special time when the guy on the platform releases a stick full of rings. If you get the golden one, you get to have a free ride!

Pavillion
Along the river, there were a lot of geese, ducks and seagulls. You will find them sitting on the sidewalk or floating in the river. They are friendly so you can get close to them and even feed them.

This is the Pavillion. It was the place where the world expo was held in 1974. There are amusements rides and ice palace where you can enjoy winter sports. There are also a lot of restaurants where you can have a pleasant meal. There is a restaurant called Flour Mill, which was a mill before but then reformed into a restaurant. You will find it special.
